Production Inventory Control Clerk

Role Description

Reporting to the Production Team Lead. The production inventory control clerk performs duties related to the monitoring, storing, issuing, transferring of inventory such as materials, kits, or equipment. The clerk embraces a culture defined by safety, quality, teamwork, and accountability.

In this role, you will:

Conduct inventory daily cycle counts in Production and as requested by Warehouse.

Enter data for stock issuing or relocation, and for inventory adjustments.

Check the calibration equipment list to ensure that equipment is returned to the calibration laboratory before its expiry date (if possible), or that overdue equipment is marked and/or segregated and not used until recalibrated. 

Participate in mid and yearend inventory counts.

Support shipping and receiving department as required.

Record results where required.

Meet schedule and production or warehouse requirements.

Follow and promote safety rules, such as wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), safety glasses, safety shoes and hearing protection where required. 

Qualifications

You have: 

Grade 12 diploma (or equivalent experience)

1 years' experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.High attention to detail.

Self-motivated, quick learner.Ability to follow demonstrated steps.

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Physical demands include lifting and moving material weighing up to 50lbs and wearing personal protective equipment. 

Organization: Ability to keep track of various tasks and manage time appropriately.

Cleanliness: Ability to keep a clean workspace (some areas can be sensitive to foreign materials)

Safety-Minded: Put safety first and realize how important it is to take care around certain machinery/equipment.Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by supervisors.

Must be willing to work any shift.

Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
