The Project Coordinator will report to the Project Manager and will be responsible for providing Clerical and Administrative support to the entire team.
A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required
Assist the Project Manager where applicable, in the day to day activities of a project’s administration
- Work closely under the guidance and direction of the Project Manager to learn Ryson Construction’s systems and methods
- Provide general administrative support including preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes
- Assist in plan and spec analysis in order to provide clear, tractable and coordinated interpretations of the design/drawings for construction including receipt and distribution and tracking of shop drawings
- Research and recommend solutions to design document problems, including conflicts, interferences and errors/omissions
- Assisting in communication to subcontractors and creating reports or mass faxes
- Act as liaison with subcontractors in expediting drawings and related information
- Collection and processing of subcontract documents
- Duties may range from clerical tasks such as creating and maintaining manual files and photocopying to higher level administrative projects such as assisting in the creation of procedural documents
- Assisting in the preparation of purchase orders and subcontracts
- Assist with the monthly billings and change order billings
- Obtain quotations for Notices of Change
- Assist with maintaining up-to-date RFI logs, track responses and advise the Project Manager of the status
- Maintain and update drawing logs
- Participate in the continuous updating and accurate generation of as-built documents
- Attend project coordination and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as requested or required
- Coordinate periodic job-related photographs for records
- Coordinate submittals and procure all close-out documents including warranties and Operating and Maintenance Manuals
- Understand and perform document control functions in accordance with on-site policy and procedures, including tracking and creating of RFI’s, transmitting and tracking of submittals and maintain project expediting list
- Assist in the estimating process – send tender invites, contact potential subcontract bidders
- Perform additional assignments and responsibilities as assumed or requested by supervision
- Assist in fulfilling Ryson Construction’s commitment to safety.

- Working knowledge of safety requirements of NSCSA - First Aid and WHMIS are a must.
- Be familiar with various software apps i.e. Basecamp, sitedocs etc
Successful graduate of the two-year Construction Administration Technology Program at the NSCC
- Proficient with Inventor is a requirement.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word and Outlook
- Proficient with AutoCAD would be considered a requirement.
- Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline
- Safety orientated.
