Silvers’ Garage is currently seeking an Apprentice to join our team.
We are a long time franchised International Truck Dealership for medium, heavy and severe service trucks doing parts and service work on all makes of vehicles and trailers.
We are seeking a positive, energetic individual to join our Service Team. Successful candidates will be mechanically inclined and possess an excellent work ethic in addition, the successful candidate must possess a strong desire to learn and an ability to apply that knowledge during daily duties. Have the ability to diagnose and rectify faults, take pride in their workmanship, with a strong commitment to customer service. Must be flexible to work late, weekends and holidays as needed. Candidates must be conscious of all safety aspects, with an ability and desire to produce top quality work.

As an apprentice, you may be required to complete training assignments and home work assignments throughout your apprenticeship.

The successful candidate must also:
have a clean drivers abstract, Class 5 Drivers License, (Air Brake endorsement considered an asset),
be registered in an Apprentice Truck & Transport Mechanic ( Apprenticeship Program),
possess an ability to work with minimum supervision, to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, have strong analytical skills, and possess a problem solving aptitude
have good verbal and written communication skills,
have their own tools. Prior fleet maintenance experience on heavy vehicles, experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems and technical training on International, Mack, Freightliner, Cummins, etc. would be an asset.
