About the Position

3D Designer and Modeller - Orb™ Toys is looking for talented 3D designers interested in freelance or part-time work.

Typical projects can include:

• 3D forms that will be used to build production tooling for toys.

• 3D forms used to create vacuum form blister packaging – designed to holdspecified volumes of material.

• 3D forms for vacuum form containers or lids for existing containers.

• Setting up files to print on our resin printers.

Skill Requirements:

Strong knowledge of Zbrush and Rhino 3D Software
Ability to create organic shapes to specific size/volume requirements.
Ability to work from line drawings or photo reference to build aesthetically pleasing 3D forms.
Ability to trouble shoot 3D printing errors and issues.
Knowledge of the requirements for tooling plastic parts for manufacturing is very helpful.

We can offer the option of using software/hardware on-site in our Halifax office if needed.
