About the Position

Perennia Food and Agriculture Inc. offers specialized development and consulting services to the agriculture, seafood, cannabis and food processing sectors in Atlantic Canada. To assist in this effort, we are seeking a results-driven, high performing administrative professional.

Principal Responsibilities:   

·  Responsible for all general administrative and reception duties

·  Responsible for planning organizing and executing business meetings and supporting large and small events with venue and food selection, registrations, etc.

·  Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the office

·  Liaise with external vendors

·  Attend meetings and is responsible for taking accurate and detailed minutes

·  Maintain office calendars and responsible for bookings

·  Perform inventories, orders and distributes office supplies, etc.

·  Collect, compile and prepare presentations, reports, meeting agendas and other documents

·  Prepare, review, and modify general templates, letters, reports, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, Excel workbooks and correspondence materials

·  Maintain multiple databases of information

·  Manage incoming mail and prepares packages for outgoing couriers

·  Participate in management of central electronic mailbox

·  Coordinate with other administrative staff to fill in in the event of temporary absence or additional work loads

·  Performs other duties that may be assigned.  

Qualifications

Key Requirements:

·  Completion of a recognized administrative/office assistant program and a minimum on 1 year’s experience in a related role

·  Able to triage requests, prioritize and handle multiple projects and activities

·  Positive attitude and ability to work effectively with others at all levels of the organization

·  High sense of urgency

·  Collaborative approach

·  Competent in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams

·  Previous experience working in a corporate environment would be considered an asset

·  Independent problem solver who is able to anticipate the needs of the organization

·  Attention to detail and accuracy and able provide confidential services when required

·  Able to communicate effectively

·  Experienced in standard office processes and equipment
