We are currently searching for a self-motivated Project Manager- Landscape Design who will be responsible for implementing projects and processes that enhance Killam’s curb appeal in its portfolio of multi-residential rental properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee approximately $1 million in landscape related projects across Killam portfolio, Canada wide.
  • Work with Property Managers, Regional Directors, and Head Office Operations Staff to develop creative landscape solutions.
  • Maintain focus on Environmental and Sustainable Governance (ESG) initiatives during all phases of any landscape project and installations.
  • Provide support to Operations team for Landscape and Snow Service Agreements (e.g. amendments to contracts, sourcing contractors, drafting contracts, etc.).
  • Conduct site visits to complete an inventory/analysis to determine site challenges and areas of focus.
  • Produce preliminary and final designs for inhouse projects (using AutoCAD and 3D rendering programs to communicate designs).
  • For larger scale projects in other regions, package together site inventory and analysis materials to source and share with out of house LA firms to develop Master Plans.
  • Help develop phased landscape projects that can be implemented over several years.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of project management experience required.
  • Ability to thrive in a changing environment and contribute to a rapidly growing company with excellent communication skills and creative thinking.
  • Ability to take direction and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and knowledge of developing planting plans, grading plans, and construction details.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Photoshop.
  • Strong project management skills and familiarity with construction management processes (tenders, award, contract, time management, change orders, quality assurance, project close out, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle mandatory.
