About the Position

What is the Position Offered?

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you are a hands-on skilled worker who will execute plans, goals and established priorities. You are especially adept at prioritising to ensure that Glow’s products are safely, efficiently, and properly built, maintained and repaired.

Specifically:

• You will work on a wide variety of projects with many different materials
• You will participate in general building repairs (internal and external) as the need arises.
• You will be a part of projects focused within the shop at Glow, however the maintenance team will be called upon to assist with executing installs and builds for certain events such as Glow Gardens where an experienced maintenance team is required.
• You will take part in producing special building projects required for events You will part in sign builds and installations, carpentry, painting and basic welding projects and repairs
• You will learn new skills as you get a hands on experience with various materials.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Carpentry Skills - Understanding of carpentry/shop tools and their use
• Have experience in basic deck building or sub floor instillation (preferred)
• You are willing to learn new skills
• You have great communications skills
• You have a great attention to detail
• You are comfortable completing required paperwork
• You can always see work to be done and are comfortable being assigned/ reassigned tasks by your manager to meet daily objectives
• You are flexible and have no problem shifting gears when priority tasks change
