About the Position

 The Carpenter will be responsible for planning and performing all types of carpentry work in the construction, and remodeling industry.

To be successful we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to establish relationships with other trades, subcontracts, suppliers, and customers. Someone with outstanding attention to detail, who is adaptable, able to prioritize demands in a fast-paced environment. We require an individual who has outstanding problem-solving abilities.

In this role you will be responsible for layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures, fixtures, and buildings. Other duties will include crafting, cutting, and measuring materials according to a client's requirements. Join us at Archadeck / Case Design where we were just named Renovator of the Year in 2020.

Responsibilities:

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures. Ensure all resources are verified to accommodate the schedule of planned activities, and proactively work with the Lead Carpenter to eliminate all risk to the scheduled work. Read and interpret paperwork, including all plans and specifications and purchase orders. Perform carpentry at the highest level as required. Expedite timely completion of the work to maintain schedule and budget goals. Provide job safety for clients. Inspect all equipment for accurate safety features and correct any unsafe conditions. Participate in a pre-construction meeting and job site inspections. Responsible for end of day procedures, such as clean up, weather protection and security. Ensure job safety, protection, and maintenance of company tools, and implement all job site rules. Respect the work of the contractors who came before you and do your job in such a way that your work will help and not impede the contractors who follow you. Maintain regular client contact for duration of projects and assist with requested cost updates.

Qualifications

Rough and finish carpentry skills, and outstanding knowledge of construction methods and techniques. Must have good solid understanding of related building trades. Interact and communicate well with your crew, subcontractors, and the customer. Must have basic hand and power tools. Valid Driver's Licence.
