SEATAC supports local oceans-related companies by offering research and development services that enhance the ocean innovation ecosystem.
NSCC was awarded Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) funding to establish SEATAC in 2019, with industry funding from Thales Canada and the Centre for Ocean Ventures and Entrepreneurship (COVE). It is Nova Scotia's first Technology Access Centre (TAC), and it exists to help businesses be more productive and competitive.
SEATAC's team is focused on ocean technology and collaborates with NSCC Applied Research and other departments to offer a wide array of services and expertise.
