Off-campus Housing

If you're coming to NSCC and need a place to live, NSCC offers webinars throughout the year to equip students with the tools they need to independently look for housing.

NSCC students have access to the free iCent app, whose housing tab is useful to both domestic and international students looking for accommodation options. International students can also connect any time with International Student Ambassadors to receive peer support and advice from international students who are already living in Nova Scotia.

Students that have been accepted to study at NSCC can use our Connect Housing Guide (login required), to learn about available options in their community, how to submit strong rental applications, their tenant rights and more. Prospective and NSCC students interested in learning about cost of housing and living can utilize this website.

NSCC has partnered with Places4Students.com to bring you up-to-date listings of properties for rent, ads for students seeking roommates, and more. Students can also download the app to view available local listings near their campus or post their own opportunities - looking for a roommate or sublet - for free at any time.

Homestay

Canada Homestay Network (CHN) provides an option for domestic and international students who are looking to live with local, participating families in Halifax and Dartmouth.

Homestay families are carefully screened, and homes are vetted. Students can apply for homestay through the Canada Homestay Network website
