About the Position

The incumbent works with subject matter experts to write technically accurate Enterprise Application documentation, including but not limited to, SAP Business One, end user Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training material, process flow diagrams, design documents, presentations and other activities as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITIES   Research and understand Company product, purpose and functionality. Prepare documentation, SOPs, communication and instructional material that is concise and easy to understand. Provide assistance to other Technical and/or Copywriters as needed. Proofread, edit, and write a variety of materials resulting in effective integration between the vehicle, environment and message while maintaining brand voice. Collaborate with subject matter experts and implementation teams to ensure project completion to deadline. Interact with both internal and external customers to determine best presentation. Study and analyse the assignment regarding innovation, project development, target groups and previously used media for the same or similar assignments. Take part in all meetings that deal with assignments. Study and track the success of launched assignments. Make adjustments to existing copy as required. Organize and prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines. Stay current and maintain a library of industry news and reference materials. Review all copy using checklist applicable style guide. Perform checks for questionable details. Perform administrative duties as assigned. Stay current on copyright and plagiarism legislation and regulations. Make recommendations for process improvements and more effective methods and media. Support the company’s vision and policies regarding Health & Safety, Corporate Culture and Environmental Management by displaying the appropriate behaviours and leadership towards meeting the company’s objectives in these areas. Perform other special assignments and projects as required.  


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS  

·         Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or Advertising required.

·         Related experience is essential.

·         Evidence of professional Technical Writing experience preferred.  

SKILLS REQUIRED  

·         Demonstrated effective writing skills required.

·         Working experience with WordPress, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and Adobe products required.

·         Knowledge of PC computers required.

·         Ability to create materials in a range of styles or as per prescribed style.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

·         Able to take constructive criticism.

·         Demonstrated skill using publishing programs.

·         Ability to write copy for SEO purposes.

·         Superb writing, content development and editing skills.

·         Excellent writing skills, including proper spelling, grammar and punctuation.

·         Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally.

·         Highly effective teamwork skills.

·         Ability to adapt to and learn new software quickly.

·         Attention to detail in all areas of work.

·         Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects.

·         High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
