About the Position


We are looking to build an amazing team to plan and deliver a range of sports and activities to a group of children aged 6-12 years old. Our PLAYAMI After School Program is launching September 2019 at three schools in Windsor Nova Scotia and surrounding areas. The Playami multisport program offers kids the chance to play a different recreational sport each day of the week while staying at their school. We will be building this team over the summer months with an official start date in mid August.


We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and active leaders who love the outdoors. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment that ensures all participants are safe, actively engaged, motivated & having fun!

If you are a high energy individual with a creative passion, experience and leadership to coach 6 to 12 year old youth in a broad range of sporting activities, and, are able to manage equipment handling, roll call, and a variety of parent – child pickup arrangements, team leader who handles paperwork, planning, customer service and team leadership with your other colleagues; then send us your resume telling us why you are best for this position.

As part of the team you will create a fun and safe environment for children experiencing a broad range of sporting activities, maintain professional relationships with the parents and school administration and be doing something important for the future of these young people. Each school will have a team of 3 leaders to ensure the welfare of all participants. Additional employment opportunities available during the summer months.

- Hours: Monday to Friday 2-6pm
- Pay: $13 to $19 per hour depending on experience and leadership
- Criminal record check & child abuse registry will be required.
- First Aid Certified (we will cover costs)
- Fundamental basics in 5 plus sports is required. (self directed to learn more)
- Child Care certification NOT required.

Our Program leaders are expected to get off the sidelines and to actively participate in delivery, showcasing basic skills, demonstrating good practice and most importantly, having fun!
