ECE staff will ensure that program planning is effectively delivered daily in accordance with the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. They will work together with parents, volunteers and students to maintain a safe, productive work environment. Some duties include guiding children in play based activities, helping with transitions, actively promote diversity and acceptance in interactions and attitudes, field-trip and outing organization, progress reports, attending staff meetings, snack and lunch aid.
ECE staff report to the Director.
Levels 1-3 (certificates, diploma or degree) in Early Childhood Education; Valid Criminal Record check, Child Abuse Registry check and first aid certificate.
Good interpersonal skills
Knowledge of teaching techniques including modeling, observing, questioning, demonstrating and reinforcing
Knowledgeable in providing a daily balance of active/quiet, indoor/ outdoor, and individual group activities
Mature and responsible attitude towards work
