This program is well-suited for mature self-starters who value teamwork, problem-solving, healthy lifestyles and helping others. Throughout the program you practise active listening, communication (oral and written), as well as critical thinking and observation skills. You must also be motivated to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to work in the field of criminal justice in Canada.
To work in this field, you are required to have a Criminal Record Check, have good physical endurance and be prepared to work shift work, as the majority of employment opportunities are with agencies that are 24/7 operations.
