Course Overview

This course is specifically directed towards fishing vessel operators who hold a valid Fishing Master Class IV Certificate of Competency who want to upgrade their certification to Fishing Master Class III. The holder may act as Master of a Fishing Vessel of any tonnage engaged on a Near Coastal or Sheltered Waters Voyage and as Officer in Charge of a Watch of a Fishing Vessel of any tonnage engaged on an Unlimited Voyage.

Condition: Hold valid medical certificate; acquired 24 months sea time qualifying vessel or at least 12 months while holding Fishing Master Class 4 certificate. Must have “Training Certificates” MED-DVS, SEN-L, Marine Advanced First Aid, ROC-MC.
