Wine Making Fundamentals (WINE 1000)
This course will introduce learners to the fundamentals of winemaking, and covers an introduction to the process, equipment, testing and analysis involved in winemaking. Learners will experience a variety of learning venues including a popular local vineyard, blending conventional and organic winemaking approaches, including traditional and sparkling methods. As part of a group project, you will plan your own vintage and enjoy the fruits of your labour. Wines produced during the course are a product of the juice obtained from harvesting and pressing the grapes grown in the college’s Teaching Vineyard.
Pre-requisite: High School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.
