Course Overview

This professional level environmental awareness training course is to prepare refrigeration and air conditioning professionals that work with Environment Canada's, Code of Practice for Reducing Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) Emissions in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems. Topics include CFCs and the ozone layer, isolation valuing, recommended components, leak detection methods, system charging procedures, special maintenance provisions, and refrigerant recovery, reuse, recycle and reclamation equipment. A grade of 75% or higher on the exam will receive an Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) card.

Pre-requisite: Experience in Refrigeration and A/C systems.

Costs and Fees
