Opening doors for new beginnings

New bursaries are being offered for the upcoming academic year at NSCC, continuing the school’s efforts to remove financial barriers to education and increase access to opportunities for equity-deserving groups at the College. One of the newest bursaries to open for applications is the New Beginnings Bursary.

Through donor funding to Rapid Response, NSCC is now offering five $4,000 bursaries to refugees enrolling in a full-time program at the College. The bursaries support refugees in Canada who have arrived in the past five years and are not receiving funding from other refugee programs. The goal is to support those who have come to Nova Scotia as a safe haven by providing the financial support they need to pursue post-secondary education and create a new life for themselves and their families.
