Prepare now to learn online

The new school year kicks off with New Student Orientation and Returning Student Orientation, September 8 to 11. We’re excited to welcome you, we’re here for you and we’re ready – and we want you to be ready, too! That’s why we’ve compiled this list of ways you can make sure you’re prepared to learn online in September.

Confirm what you need

You need your own computer and technology accessories to study at NSCC. Having a computer that works with the College’s minimum software and systems will help ensure you can use the tools and services NSCC offers.

Learn about technology discounts for students

NSCC has partnered with Dell to provide students and their friends and family with discounts on computers. Learn how to access Dell's exclusive offers

Eastlink is offering deals on Internet packages to NSCC students, including guaranteed pricing, no contracts and new customer credits.

Learn about our laptop and iPad loan program

NSCC students can borrow laptops and iPads from NSCC Libraries. The 2020-2021 borrowing program is currently under review and the parameters of the loan periods will be released soon, so check back.

Buy your books

You can purchase course materials online for delivery or pick-up at any campus bookstore location. Bookstores will be operating limited hours, and hours of operation are subject to change. Order textbooks and view bookstore hours

Learn how to access technology support

NSCC students have access to technology support through an online system called Technology Service Desk Support is always available by logging a ticket. During the day you can also get support via live chat or by phone.

Office 365 is a host of services offered by Microsoft that includes a series of web-based services from email, to file sharing, to web conferencing along with all Office suite applications and many more online features. It is available on almost all devices.
