Université Sainte-Anne offers an additional option to NSCC graduates

April 18, 2017 – Press Release

Church Point, NS – An agreement signed by Université Sainte-Anne and Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) will offer a new option to students who wish to pursue a career in business. This agreement allows graduates of the Business Administration Diploma at NSCC to apply for admission to the Baccalauréat en administration des affaires at Université Sainte-Anne.

Université Sainte-Anne will grant up to a maximum of 63 credits to students who have completed the Business Administration Diploma program in the concentrations of Accounting, Financial Services, Management, Marketing, Open or Software & Information Management, which represents 50 per cent of degree requirement towards the Baccalauréat en administration des affaires at Université Sainte-Anne. These students will then only have to complete two more years to obtain a bachelor’s degree.

"We are pleased to welcome graduates of the Business Diploma Program at NSCC. We hope that this agreement will encourage a larger number of students from NSCC to pursue studies in French at Université Sainte-Anne as this combination demonstrates advanced linguistic capabilities in Canada’s two official languages. Being bilingual gives graduates a considerable advantage on the job market and offers additional job opportunities," explains Allister Surette, President and Vice-chancellor at Université Sainte-Anne.

"This agreement with Université Sainte-Anne is about helping students pursue education and find meaningful employment," says NSCC President Don Bureaux. "Providing our students with more options, including those looking to have a bilingual education and career, means they’ll have even greater opportunity to achieve their goals."

Future students who are looking for more information concerning this agreement or the Baccalauréat en administration des affaires may contact Dany Sheehy, directeur du programme des sciences administratives ( or 902.769.2114 extension 7339).
