The Marine Training Program (A’paqt) is part of the $1.5 billion Oceans Protection Plan, the largest investment ever made to protect Canada’s coasts and waterways. The Oceans Protection Plan is creating a world-leading marine safety system that provides economic opportunities for Canadians today, while protecting our coasts and waterways for generations to come. Work is being done in close collaboration with Inuit and Indigenous peoples, local stakeholders, and coastal communities. 

Transport Canada Marine Training Program – Southern Component (MTP-S) aims to facilitate access to and awareness of marine training and employment by underrepresented groups.
