A construction site shows the steel structure in place of a new building.
Ivany Campus' soon-to-be student housing will overlook the Halifax Harbour while being only steps away from classrooms and amenities.

Since June’s construction update, the Ivany Campus student housing project has a completely different curb appeal. The steel structure is progressing well and is expected to be substantially complete by late September.

The latest updates:

  • The one-way lane on campus has been widened and is open for vehicle access to the roundabout
  • As the steel walls continue to take shape, the tilt up walls will soon take position, once again transforming the visual look of the building
  • A portion of the parking lot will become available in September when students return. Parking next to the building will remain as part of the construction site for steel laydown and crane access for the arrival of the precast panels in October (see yellow line in map below)

During August and into fall, the construction site will obstruct some parking areas, outlined above.
