Akerley Campus | July 2023

Progress made at the Akerley Campus student housing site has been particularly active this month as crews work towards the September 2024 opening date.

Walls are freshly drywalled on the second floor as crews work to define each apartment unit.

The latest updates:

  • Steel stud framing is progressing well on the first floor
  • The second floor has most walls drywalled and ready for taping
  • The third floor is well underway with painting beginning in the corridors and suites
  • Mechanical and electrical is progressing steadily on both the second and third floors with rough ins underway on the first floor
  • The domestic water connection is expected to be complete in the coming weeks in advance of students returning in September
  • Sitework on the grounds continue with the bioswales at the back of the building taking shape and the light standard bases now in place
