Pictou Campus’ student housing construction site is prepped and ready for a busy fall with a lookahead of what’s to come. The housing facility is set to open in 2024 and will house 50 students.

A pedway is under construction, connecting the campus to the new student housing building.
This pedway will connect the student housing to Pictou Campus.

The latest progress:

  • Z-bars are now complete on West elevation
  • Insulation and siding are complete
  • Window tightness testing is currently underway
  • Plumbing and vents are currently being installed

What’s coming up:

  • First and third floor rough ins are expected to begin in early September, along with second floor backing
  • Electrical inspections on the fourth floor are scheduled for mid-September
  • The framing of the pedway is scheduled to begin in September
