NSCC to host virtual annual Open House October 27-30
Oct. 21, 2021 – Media Release
Halifax, NS - Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) is holding a virtual Open House from Wednesday, October 27 to Saturday, October 30, 2021.
While NSCC usually welcomes visitors in-person during this annual event, this year, the community is hosting a 4-day series of online information sessions. Those interested in learning more about what the College has to offer can pick the day and session(s) that works for them.
Participants can explore programs and learn more about what it’s like to study at NSCC, all from the comfort of their home or classroom. NSCC will waive the application fee for those who register and attend a virtual Discover NSCC Open House session, and each applicant will have their name entered to win one of 14 $1,000 tuition credits.
A complete list of interactive events is online. You can find the schedule and register at nscc.ca/OpenHouse. Most sessions are 45 minutes in length and offer general information as well as information for high school students, international students and parents and supporters.
NSCC’s Virtual Open House will use GoTo Meetings software. An email will be sent to those who register, with a link to access the session(s) selected. Participants who require an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter can contact for support.
"We are celebrating some 4,500 graduates from the Class of 2021 through a unique virtual convocation ceremony this fall. Those grads have now joined tens of thousands of NSCC alumni who are making a difference in their communities, in Nova Scotia, nationally and around the world,” says NSCC President Don Bureaux. “We hope you will come and explore our programs and the possibilities they hold for your future if you choose to study at any of our 14 campuses."
