COVID-19 Case identified at NSCC’s Lunenburg Campus

Earlier today [Nov. 27], NSCC was notified of a positive COVID-19 test connected to a member of our community.
The individual attended our Lunenburg Campus on November 19, 2020. Anyone considered a close contact of the individual will be contacted by Public Health – Nova Scotia. The area accessed on campus has been closed and is being cleaned according to our COVID-19 protocols.
The individual is self-isolating and receiving direction and support from Public Health. They are aware that they may not return to NSCC until they’ve received advice from Public Health that it is safe to do so.
The campus has reached out to offer support and well wishes for a full recovery. However, NSCC can’t share details about the individual due to privacy legislation.
NSCC Lunenburg Campus will continue to work with Public Health and encourages everyone to continue to take all precautions advised by public health officials to protect each other and our communities from COVID-19.
