NSCC to host virtual annual Open House November 17-26
Nov. 16, 2020 – Media Release
Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) is holding a virtual Open House from Tuesday, November 17 to Thursday, November 26, 2020.
While NSCC usually welcomes visitors in-person during this annual event, this year, the community is hosting a week-long series of online information sessions. Those interested in learning more about what the College has to offer can pick the day and session(s) that works for them.
Visitors can explore programs and learn more about what it’s like to study at NSCC, all from the comfort of their home or classroom. NSCC will waive the application fee for those who attend a virtual Open House information session and each applicant will have their name entered to win one of fourteen $1,000 tuition credits.
A complete list of interactive events is online. You can find the schedule and register at nscc.ca/OpenHouse. Most sessions are 60 minutes in length and offer general information as well as information for high school students, international students and parents and supporters.
NSCC’s Virtual Open House will use GoTo Meetings software. An email will be sent to those who register, with a link to access the session(s) selected. Participants who require an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter can contact for support.
"We just celebrated over 4,500 graduates from the Class of 2020 through a unique virtual convocation ceremony. Those grads have now joined tens of thousands of NSCC alumni who are making a difference in their communities, in Nova Scotia, nationally and around the world,” says NSCC President Don Bureaux. “This is the league of learners you will join if you choose to study at any of our 14 campuses and sites."
