Land acknowledgement

NSCC is located in Mi’kma’ki, the unceded territory and traditional homeland of the Mi’kmaq Nation. Our relationship is based on a series of peace and friendship treaties between the Mi’kmaq Nation and the Crown, dating back to 1725.

As Treaty beneficiaries, we recognize that we are all Treaty People.

What Were You Wearing display confronts biases around sexual assault, says organizer An NSCC student set up an exhibit at Lunenburg Campus of nearly 40 outfits reflecting what people were wearing when they were assaulted. The exhibit is part of an international campaign called What Were You Wearing, aimed at deconstructing unconscious bias that what you wear is connected to sexual violence.
