Career and Transition Services
For students who are thinking about attending NSCC but are not sure where to start, our Career and Transition Services can help plan a future. A Career Counsellor can take students through a career exploration process that helps identify the college programs that are best suited to a student's interests, abilities and career aspirations. CATS also offers workshops to parents, school associations, and others on how to coach young people in making career choices.
CATS offers workshops and programs for the general public in the areas of career planning, career transition and career management. They design customized human resource management programs for business and organizations in areas such as succession management, recruitment, career development of staff, leadership and career coaching.
For more information on Career and Transition Services in your area, call the Metro office (Akerley, Waterfront, and Institute of Technology Campuses) at 902-491-3528. Outside the Metro area, there are CATS offices at the Burridge Campus, Kingstec Campus, Lunenburg Campus, Marconi Campus, Pictou Campus, Truro Campus, and Strait Area Campus.
