African Canadian Student Services

If you are a member of the African Canadian community and are interested in attending College you should contact College Admissions for information and deadlines on College programs and possible eligibility for designated seats for those who wish to self-identify as a member of this group.

NSCC offers an Afrocentric adult learning option for African Canadians who want to complete their high school diploma. Learn more about the African Canadian Transition Concentration available at the Akerley Campus.

If you are a student of NSCC there may be initiatives on your campus such as mentorship opportunities, a Black students' network, or customized services available to you. These activities are arranged through the Student Services and the African Canadian Coordinators. Please visit your Student Services department for more information on services and programs for African Canadian students.

The College has a Diversity Leadership Council whose overall responsibility is to oversee NSCC's progress in creating a more diverse, inclusive and culturally competent learning and working environment. For more information on the Council, contact with NSCC's Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
