Part-time Programs
You have a variety of options for studying part-time at NSCC including online courses, in-class learning during the day and at night, seminar and weekend sessions, or a combination. While the College is working to expand the delivery options available to students, not every program at NSCC can currently be taken on a part-time basis.

Application Information
If you are presently taking a credit course(s) and you intend to work towards achieving a NSCC Diploma or Certificate, you must apply to NSCC for your program of interest. If accepted, you will be referred to one of our campuses to continue the discussion with the Campus Registrar about your learning plan and the schedule of courses available to you.
The advantages of being admitted to the program include:
- obtaining the program credential
- receiving advisement on course work and plan of study
- locking in the program requirements at time of acceptance
- obtaining appropriate tax credit
Apply Online – Complete your application and pay your $25 application fee online (credit card required). You can also submit a paper application; attach a $25 non-refundable application fee to your paper application. **Indicate your preference to study part-time in the additional information section of the program application.
Tuition – Tuition for a part-time study option is typically calculated on a per-course basis and is paid at the beginning of each term. The time to complete a certificate or diploma program through part-time study will vary and depend on the schedule you choose and number of courses you complete each term.
