Marine Training
NSCC offers a broad range of marine programs and courses to meet the training requirements of the commercial marine and fish harvesting industries. Marine training is conducted at the Nautical Institute in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, and the School of Fisheries in Pictou and Shelburne, Nova Scotia. Both operations are divisions of the Strait Area Campus.
Marine courses are also delivered at client sites and other NSCC locations. The marine industry is diverse, complex, and strictly regulated, in accordance with Transport Canada and international standards.
