Philosophy Statement
My World of Learning Child Care Association's philosophy is to offer a safe, nurturing learning environment in which each child can prepare for the years ahead. We believe children learn through play. Play-based learning in such areas as active play, language development, socialization is facilitated through teacher-planned and child-initiated age-appropriate activities. Our programs are developed to support emotional, cognitive, social and physical growth.
Through play, we encourage:
- emotional development – self-expression, exploration
- cognitive development – language skills, problem solving abilities
- social development – positive social interaction
- physical development – gross and fine motor activities

There is a Supported Child Care Teacher to provide extra support to the classrooms so all children can participate fully in the daily program.
- The Toddler Room for children 18 months to 3 years
- The Junior Preschool Room for children 3-4 years
- The Senior Preschool Room for children 4-5 years
The caring, knowledgeable staff plans fun activities in the areas of math, art, circle, science, sensory, fine motor and gross motor that promote learning opportunities for the children. The programming promotes the children's growth and development through play and theme-based activities.
Children have an opportunity to play in the spacious classrooms in areas like sand and water play, blocks, housekeeping, library and science. An average of two hours per day of outdoor time is spent in the large playground which features a bike track, large sandbox and playhouse. Field trips are planned based on themes and offer hands-on learning and exposure.
Meals
The day care provides a lunch and two snacks per day.
