Attending NSCC to study Natural Resources was an exercise in team work and collaboration for Chris Hendsebee.
"I really enjoyed the environment. There were students much younger and much older than me and we all had the opportunity to lead, follow and contribute to each other's learning," he says.
Leading a team was nothing new for Chris. Prior to NSCC he was Forest Operations Manager with A&M Reforestation managing upwards of 90 staff. Chris continues to work for the same company and is now in charge of all hiring and safety programs. "I enjoy all aspects of my job, from where it takes me to the individuals I interact with. There are few working environments where in the run of a day you can watch the sun rise, be chased by a bear, watch a moose swim through a lake, watch the sun set, all while working with a great crew of people."
"I had a great job, but wanted a better grounding in the industry, so I turned to NSCC, says Chris. "They've met all my expectations and I'm really proud to say I went to school there."
