Pictou Campus
Pictou Campus is a learning-centered environment located in the town of Stellarton and serves the northern and eastern parts of mainland Nova Scotia. The campus provides pre-employment applied education and skills training to the second larges manufacturing economy in Nova Scotia. Programs at Pictou Campus represent the following Academic Schools: Access; Applied Arts and New Media; Business; Health and Human Services; and Trades and Technology.
The Pictou Campus has recently been transformed by the addition of a beautiful glass-enclosed curved front wing and new trades shops on the East side of the building. The light-filled two-storey front wing houses the Centre for Student Success, a new Library, a student learning commons, classrooms and faculty offices, the bookstore and a coffee shop. The campus also features many soft seating areas throughout the building for students to reflect on their learning, as well as to encourage self-directed study and group work. Two new enclosed courtyards provide relaxing spaces for students and staff to enjoy.
The Centre for Student Success provides a convenient cluster of services for students, in a prominent location on campus. Services include academic and personal counseling, career planning and assessment, a student resource centre, job posting and placement assistance, skills workshops and financial information on student loans and scholarships. Support services are also available through student services for students with special needs. The Registrar's office assists students with course selection, transfer credits, courses costs and other academic matters.
