Hi folks!

Sometimes I'm asked why we have three program choices on our applications. The simple answer is that many of our programs fill up fast, so you have the option to enroll in your second or third choice if the first program you wanted is full.

But what if your first choice was offered at more than one campus? Well then you might be in luck. You can apply to the same program at up to three different campuses. We'll try find you a spot in the first campus you choose, but if it's full and you're willing to travel to another campus, there could be a seat for you in the program you want.

I tell every person I meet: if you know what you want to take at NSCC, apply early. I tell people that because our programs fill up very fast. I don’t mean to brag, but we are super popular!

Sometimes people panic when they hear the word waitlist. People ask me, “How do I know if my program is full or has a waitlist?”

We publish a chart that says which programs have waitlists and which ones are completely full. That chart is updated every week. You can find it on our main page. Click the link that says "program openings":

Remember: you can still apply to a program even if it has a waitlist. A lot can happen between now and September. One of my classmates was on the waitlist right up until the first day of school. He has since graduated and is in a career that he loves.
