NSCC launches student award campaign with Report to the Community 2009
December 1, 2009 – Media Release
Halifax, NS – NSCC invites Nova Scotians to share their connections to the College in the online edition of Report to the Community 2009.
Inside this interactive report are powerful stories about the impact public, post-secondary education has on individuals, families, communities, employers, researchers and our environment. Half of all Nova Scotians have connections to NSCC either directly or indirectly – and the College wants to hear about them.
"By contributing their own unique NSCC experiences, Nova Scotians will help build awareness and understanding of the power of college education to make a difference," says NSCC president, Joan McArthur-Blair.
Contributed stories could also place college education within reach for someone who might otherwise not be able to access it.
For each of the first 1,000 unique stories contributed before December 31, 2009, the College will donate $1 to the NSCC Foundation. Funds raised will provide for a student award to be presented in the New Year.
