FLL began in 1998 when the organization FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) and LEGO joined forces to create this unique program.

Competitions are open to teams from public schools and youth groups across the province.
Qualifying regional competitions will take place at six NSCC Campuses in November and December 2010. The top 4 teams from each regional competition will advance to the championship competition which takes place at Acadia University on January 29, 2011.
