I am currently enrolled in my 2nd year of Human services, working on a disability and supports concentration.In the spring of 2009 I had the opportunity to do service leadership in Tanzania,Africa.Myself and 6 other 1st year Human srvices students from different NSCC colleges were chosen to volunteer in Africa, to help children and their families who have or are affected by someone who has AIDS/HIV.It was the experience of a lifetime to work with these children and their families.Africa was absolutely amazing!I will never forget it.Thanks to NSCC International, I was able to have this experience, do service leadership, and this will be great in my portfolio.
