This interactive course allows students to gain an understanding of the organizational and managerial systems used by financial institutions in meeting their clients' financial needs and the important relationship local financial services firms have with the local community. Through a hands on approach and guest presenters students will gain practical experience in the proper preparation required to obtain a financial services' position. This will also include proper usage of financial services office systems, procedures and technological equipment. Students will interact with the community through service learning. Students may wish to pursue an area of interest further through independent study.
